Context
Crushed ore bins experienced intermittent sensor failures that were difficult to detect early. These failures sometimes caused major delays and unplanned downtime. The operation needed a more reliable way to forecast sensor issues.
Solution
Cloud-based IoT monitoring and analytics were used to evaluate sensor health continuously. The system flagged degrading performance trends and provided alerts ahead of critical failure.
Results
The solution prevented thousands of minutes of downtime, as documented in the case study. Earlier detection allowed maintenance teams to intervene before sensors failed completely.
