GNSS-based CAS provides 360 awareness and event alerts across light and heavy vehicles. Sites saw fewer interactions and better compliance.
Mobile equipment frequently operated in close proximity, creating constant risk of dangerous interactions. Human awareness alone could not reliably detect all hazards, especially in complex or congested areas. This resulted in near misses and inconsistent compliance with traffic rules.
A site-wide collision-avoidance system (CAS) was deployed, including both random and preventative monitoring of stop-sign compliance. The system used onboard sensors and location data to warn operators of unsafe interactions. Supervisors gained visibility into site-wide compliance patterns.
The operation reported reduced accidents and higher compliance, as well as improved situational awareness for operators. CAS alerts increased adherence to traffic protocols and contributed to safer fleet movement.
